The Sub Zero Cruise Event

Cruisin’ the Peg is hosting their 2nd charity event on Saturday March 8, 2014.

Last year’s Sub-Zero Cruise Event attracted a full house of Winnipeg’s gear-heads and raised over $6,700 for L’Arche Winnipeg!

The SUB-ZERO CRUISE EVENT 2014 at The Oak in the Canad Inns at 826 Regent Avenue West promises to be tons of fun with a buffet dinner, prizes, a silent auction and a 39” TV door prize.

Doors open at 6:30 pm.

To take it all to a very cool special level, Winnipeg’s all-time favourite stage band, Harlequin, returns with their hits from 1975 to their latest releases! Their shows consistently sell out and last year’s performance did just that – so organizers are expecting another capacity crowd! What a great way to shake off the doldrums of winter!

With ticket prices at an affordable $25 that includes the dinner and concert, this is a fantastic night out! If you don’t want dinner, you can still take in the 9:30pm Harlequin show for only $12.50 plus tax. You don’t have to be a “car guy” to attend – you just have to want to be at a blast of a party that benefits a deserving local charity.

Net proceeds will be donated to L’Arche Winnipeg, a Transcona based organization that has been helping people who have an intellectual disability since 1973. Presently, they operate six houses and two supported-living apartments that accommodate 28 people along with approximately 20 assistants. Four of their houses, the apartments, and their office are in Transcona. Dale Hickey, manager and host of Cruisin’ the Peg hopes that the event will exceed last year’s donation that goes directly to the organization’s operational costs and support programs.

Tickets are available at Canad Inns Destination Centre Transcona, 826 Regent Avenue West; L’Arche Tova Café, 119 Regent Avenue West (8 am – 3 pm weekdays / 8 am – 2 pm Saturday); and L’Arche Winnipeg Office, 118 Regent Avenue East.
