2012

OK, so the five of us hooked up and stretched out this big map over a table at the pub the other night. We were each given the table to provide suggestions as to where we should perform this upcoming year.

First and foremost Nik suggested that we take the road of the tried and true, which is to launch across Western Canada to say hi to the familiar friends of Quin, old and new. Out of the background George piped up "I don't want to be critical, you can try it that way, but I don't think it's gonna come off!"

Then AJ recommended that we have to get back out to Eastern Canada too, because we've had some really cool adventures there over the last couple of years. We love the food, the people and the hilarious stories we came home with. He also mentioned that we are getting a tonne of requests to come out east more frequently. Out of the background George again perked "Listen, I been doing this for a long time and I know it's not gonna come off!"

Derrick reminded us of how fun it was to play in the US last year and that we shouldn't be so short-sighted and look for more international opportunities. He pulled out the royalty report from last year and indicated that sales were strong in select areas of the US, the Caribbean, the UK, and very strong in Germany and Japan. George sounding frustrated said "I'm telling you it doesn't work that way!"

Out of frustration in the background, Darren finally exclaimed to George, "Well Mr. Expert, you show us how its gonna come off then!"... "Well give it here then!" And he handed George the unopened bottle and corkscrew. George laughed "I told you it wouldn't come off that way! First you have to insert the pointy part of the corkscrew and ..........

So long story short, George finally opened the bottle and we cheered to a great 2012. We're taking engagements as they come for now, but would love to see all of you this year! So remember to contact us well in advance of a show in your area and we'll put the first four requests on the Harlequin guest list.
